Announcing the Results of FACT and FACT Plus: NFSU Delhi’s Forensic Science Excellence
We are excited to announce that the results of the Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT) and FACT Plus, conducted by the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Delhi, are now available. The results were announced on 07 June 2024.
Understanding FACT and FACT Plus
FACT and FACT Plus serve as benchmarks for forensic science education in India. Introduced in 2018, FACT is a screening test designed to measure the forensic science caliber of students obtaining their degrees from various universities. A candidate's performance in FACT reflects their relative knowledge and certifies a minimum level of understanding in forensic science.
FACT (Basic Examination): This test targets post-graduate candidates, focusing on their grasp of pure sciences to assess their command over fundamental concepts.
FACT Plus (Advanced Examination): This advanced level exam is intended for post-graduate candidates who have cleared NET/GATE/GPAT or possess relevant working experience. It tests their aptitude in forensic science-related matters, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle specialized forensic tasks.
Significance of FACT Qualification
The FACT qualification is intended to serve as a qualifying criterion for recruitment by Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs) and other relevant agencies. The examination is conducted at two levels:
- FACT: This level assesses the candidates' ability to analyze crime exhibits referred to FSLs and interpret the results with basic training, preparing them to assist in simple cases.
- FACT Plus: This level tests candidates for specialized roles, focusing on their ability to handle precision instruments and infer precise results, making them suitable for more complex forensic tasks.
The eligibility for recruitment of FACT-qualified candidates will be subject to the criteria set by the recruiting organizations.
Results Announcement
We are thrilled to announce the results of the latest FACT and FACT Plus examinations. The candidates have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills, reflecting the high standards of forensic science education in India. The results highlight the readiness of these individuals to contribute to forensic science with their expertise and dedication.
Congratulations to all the successful candidates! Your achievement not only marks a significant milestone in your careers but also underscores the importance of rigorous training and assessment in forensic science.
Future Prospects
FACT and FACT Plus qualifications open doors to numerous opportunities in forensic science, providing a pathway to impactful careers in FSLs and other forensic agencies. We encourage all qualified candidates to pursue these opportunities with the same dedication and excellence demonstrated in their exams.
