Deeksharambh: National Forensic Sciences University Welcomes New Students with Grand Orientation Ceremony
Delhi, 18 Aug. 2023— The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) held a splendid orientation ceremony, "Deeksharambh," for its fresh batch of students at the Delhi campus. The event was meticulously orchestrated by Dr. Richa Rohatgi, Assistant Professor at NFSU Delhi, who introduced and welcomed the esteemed dignitaries in attendance. The ceremony commenced with a Ceremonial Lamp Lighting by the dignitaries, accompanied by the soulful Saraswati Vandana.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of several dignitaries, including Dr. Purvi Pokhriyal, Campus Director of NFSU Delhi; Dr. Rakhi Aggarwal, Incharge Dean of NFSU Delhi Campus; Dr. Asha Shrivastava, Dean of the School of Behavioral Forensic at NFSU Delhi; Dr. Nirag Dubey, Joint Registrar of NFSU Delhi; and Dr. Naveen Chaudhary, Campus Director of NFSU Goa.
In addition, the virtual participation of eminent figures such as Padmashri Dr. J.M Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU; Dr. S.O Junare, Campus Director of NFSU Gandhinagar; and Dr. Satish Kumar, Dean of the School of Forensic Science at NFSU, enriched the occasion. These luminaries graced the event with their insightful words, sharing wisdom and shedding light on future prospects and opportunities that await the graduates of the prestigious National Forensic Sciences University.
Dr. Rakhi Aggarwal, Dean Academics of NFSU Delhi Campus, delivered the welcome speech, setting an inspiring tone for the ceremony. Dr. Satish Kumar, in his address, elaborated on the plethora of facilities available at the university and emphasized that the label of an "NFSUian" carries the same honor as being an IITian or an MITian.
Dr. Asha Shrivastava's eloquent speech resonated with the students, emphasizing that they(students) had chosen NFSU to embark on a journey of uniqueness and extraordinariness. Dr. S.O. Junare, Campus Director of Gandhinagar Campus, highlighted the manifold benefits of being an NFSU student, underscoring the opportunities for interaction with esteemed professionals and addressing the contemporary challenges in the field of forensics.
Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokriyal, Campus Director, enriched the gathering with her speech, assuring students of a nurturing environment and world-class facilities on the campus. Padmashri Dr. J.M Vyas, the Vice Chancellor of NFSU, underscored the university's significance and origin, tracing its establishment back to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Dr. Vyas applauded the students' exceptional achievement in clearing the entrance exam among a staggering number of applicants, hailing them as the chosen 5,000 out of 80,000 aspirants.
Dr. Nirag Dave, Joint Registrar of NFSU Delhi Campus, expressed gratitude in the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that made the event a success. The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem.
