Mission Forensic|Part 1|Life of Forensic Student

The inaugural day of University dawned with a palpable air of anticipation and burgeoning hopes. It pulsated with the fervor of encountering novel faces, forging new friendships, and, most significantly, embarking on an uncharted voyage—a world brimming with enigmas, mysteries untold, a realm hitherto unexplored—the world of Forensic.

Indeed, you heard correctly—it's the world of Forensic Science. By the way, I'm Edward...Edward Collins, and, just to clarify, our lineage has no association with the "Twilight" Collins family. But let's not dwell on that. This is my inaugural day at the University. Isn't it exhilarating? As I mentioned earlier, it's a realm fraught with mysteries and exhilaration. However, hold onto your hats, for here's a spoiler alert—it's not quite what you might expect.

Would you like to delve into the details? Then, come along...

September 6th—the day of my first official University class. Although I had visited earlier for the orientation, this day marked my true initiation into the academic sphere. The excitement was palpable. I rose early in the morning, went through my morning routine, and prepared myself for the day ahead. No uniforms here; you could wear whatever you fancied. That was the tricky part—deciding what to wear. For me, it wasn't a dilemma; I opted for my usual casual attire—a t-shirt and jeans—and I was ready to roll.

I arrived at the University a good 20 minutes before class, hastening to the "School of Forensic Science and Research." We'd been told our classroom was Room No. 701 during the orientation, so I made a beeline for the elevator and ascended to the seventh floor. Room 701, our destination, awaited us—a classroom housing the Bachelor of Forensic Science, First Year.

The room was nearly vacant, save for a young woman occupying the leftmost corner seat. She sported a white t-shirt and black jeans, her eyes concealed behind round spectacles. She looked rather endearing. I settled my bag in the middle seat of the front row and extended a friendly wave to the girl in the corner. I greeted her with a cheerful "good morning," and she responded in kind.

"Hi! I'm Edward Collins," I introduced myself.

"Hello! I'm Cathie...Catherine Hudgens," she replied, her smile exuding warmth.

The clock struck 8:30 AM, and the class commenced. Our maiden lesson—"Introduction to Forensic Science." A subject with a name like an introduction, it encompassed the entire history and rudiments of Forensic Science. As the class commenced, so did the barrage of questions. Our professor, Dr. (Ms.) Kristy Thomas, a youthful and remarkably talented forensic expert, recently concluded her internship with the illustrious senior scientific officer, Mr. Param Singh, at the CBI.

Dr. Kristy's initial inquiry to the class was straightforward, "Why did you choose Forensic?"

Responses varied in alignment with individual motivations and aspirations. Many of us professed our fascination and curiosity about unravelling mysteries and delving into the world of the deceased.

"Alright, good," she responded, followed by, "The first thing you must all do is erase everything you've gleaned from Forensic TV shows, like Forensic Files and CID, along with other crime dramas. Secondly, be meticulous in all your endeavors—precision is paramount, in every action and every utterance."

With that, Dr. Kristy Thomas commenced the class—a two-hour session filled with relentless lectures, and thus, our new journey unfolded.
